Carvoeiro Area
Carvoeiro was originally a fishing village on the Algarve coast which has grown into a popular resort town.
The town has a small beach with cliffs set either side and a mixture of whitewashed traditional houses and modern villas, set in cobbled streets. Carvoeiro has a huge selection of bars and restaurants, over 150 in and around town . Our favourites are detailed in the visitors information book.
Carvoeiro has plenty of shops to suit the needs of holiday makers , most of the usual groceries are availability and there is a large Intermarche supermarket on the outskirts of the town if more choice is needed.

Days out and Activities
There are many beautiful beaches in Carvoeiro, whether it's Praia do Carvoeiro or Carvoeiro 'town beach' as it also known or Praia do Paraíso which is the next beach along. There is also the lovely sheltered bay of Praia do Carvalho, Praia da Marinha with a choice of several little bays at low tide or maybe Vale de Centeanes with its spectacular cliff and white wash apartments.
Most beaches offer a variety of water sports activities, you can hire pedaloes or jet ski's and the town operates diving schools. The town beach offers sailing and deep sea fishing trips while the local fisherman in their brightly coloured boats offer visitors short trips along the picturesque coastline to view the caves and coves.
There are two water parks within easy reach - the closest is Slide and Splash at Lagoa (10 mins) while Aqualand is slightly further away at Alcantarilha. If water sports aren't for you then there is Zoomarine Sealife Park at Guia and Krazy World Minature Golf at Algoz to choose from.

Golf in the Algarve
Golf is always popular in the algarve as a wide variety of courses and over 300 days of sunshine a year attract players all year round. The most popular months are April, May, September and October, tee times are easily booked online and club hire is available either from the airport or the courses themselves.

The algarve is renowned for its choice of golf courses and there are several options within 20 mins of Casa Manala , the closest is a Vale de Milho an interesting 9 hole par 3 around 1 km away. The twin Pestana resort of Gramacho and Vale da Pinta are 5km away and offer two 18 hole layouts suitable for golfers of all standards. Silves is only 15 mins away and offers some stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty more courses easily reachable with the use of a car.
